Skyport, Knorr - Legionary Kali Nuer of the Knorr Expeditionary Forces reported a continued increase in Olthoi activity this week. "We're observing small bands of Olthoi, seemingly recon groups, pressing past their present territorial boundaries. I'm no expert, but I think it's safe to say we're talking about behavior above and beyond anything we've seen before."

Nuer went on to describe a recent invasion incident. "One of our members was off-duty at the Hero Star the other day, and reported seeing Olthoi Newborns - a lot more than three, by the way - congregated around a pile of coins and trait. When he approached to investigate, several grub mounds he had not noticed exploded in a hail of spitting grubs, and the next thing he knew, he was en route to the lifestone. If I didn't know better, I'd say the bugs laid a trap for us."
A number of Knorr's citizens recently reported what appeared to be an outright Olthoi attack at Fort Strathelar. Others report sightings near the Skyport itself, and as far away as Cavendo and other points on Osteth. Local Osteth naturalists are concerned that Olthoi have somehow passed through the portal between Cavendo and Knorr (whether intentionally or unintentionally). If true, this could facilitate the spread of what is known to be a notoriously invasive species.
Servitor Calatin, representative of the Empyrean Training Association, continues to categorically deny any link between recent Olthoi activity and the Training Hall's escape incident from several weeks ago, noting a lack of conclusive evidence to support that theory. "Is the recent behavior unusual? Yes, of course it is, but there could be many reasons for this. Does anyone actually think that our training moltlings somehow escaped, found an open-minded colony of wild Olthoi, taught them how to use portals, and drew up some battle plans. /chuckle Sounds like a great campfire tale, but I'm sure rational citizens will see the outlandish leaps required to reach such a conclusion in the present situation. We're talking about bugs, here. Bugs."
