How I Mine 4 Fish? Posts: 94 Joined: 2 Oct 2003 | Ok, maybe this is just another crazy speculation of mine but what if the Power Forges (Chaotic Virindi) were used to somehow harness Asheron's magics when he & Torgluuk traveled to Bur; meaning Aerbax/Ler Rhan tapped into the pedistals/orbs used in the summoning ritual a long time ago when Asheron summoned the portal to Bur. If so, then this maybe would mean Ash & Torg went to Bur soon after the Derethian defeat of the Burun Kings (Oct. '04) in January '05, Assault event.

On the table, a setting of fruits and meats sat unmolested; beside them a single candle illuminated a stack of books. Asheron looked at Torgluuk and spoke again.
"You are here to kill me. I do not blame you for your ire, Torgluuk, nor can I make excuses for those that walked these lands before me. I am alone in this world, more alone than any may ever realize. But, I see that you have come from another world, like all those that now dwell on Ireth Lassel. All drawn through portals of my creation, all save you and your kind." Asheron paused and Torgluuk, feeling strength return, began to climb from the tub. "We are outside the realm of prophecy, and prophecy is all I have had to live by for all my years on this world. I -"
"Prophecy?" Torgluuk interrupted. "Yes, I am familiar with prophecy. Intimate with prophecy, I knew I was to come to this world. I knew that I would walk here. I knew that this would transpire, as I have been told about all of this... but is it prophecy?" Torgluuk shook his head. "Three races, three races shall I walk amongst... and one figure alone..."
Asheron chuckled. "I am a man, long-lived, unique, and alone. Torgluuk, I wish to listen to your stories and share my own with you. Is that acceptable?"
Torgluuk nodded. He had found the light for all worlds. He had been blinded by the quest for vengeance. He had forgotten Tkowerk's words. Now, in this place he recalled them clearly.
I have seen one other, whose image is unclear. But its purpose is very clear: to be the Eye for all worlds. The Eye of the Sleeping One, the sun, the Light.
A new term/name is given to Asheron - The Eye. And in the lore text, Inner Sea Directive, there is reference to The Eye.
Inner Sea Directive (from Assault event)
Incursion of the Burun has diverted the attention of the Isparians. They become increasingly fragmented as these new threats encroach on their lands. If intelligence is to be believed, yet another threat from the north shall soon shatter their fragile kingdom even further. The time to harness the power of the Inner Eye has come to pass.
You have been tasked with a most significant purpose. You shall maintain your position until such time as the collection is complete. Expect assault from the ever-predictable Isparians. Provide some trinket to occupy their minds. When the heat of the Eye has been collected, operations will cease.

Interestingly enough in Asheron's journals he picks up on the treat of the Halaetan Islands, before the barrier is broken (Inflitration event) and the Shadows/Raven Hand stirring up ancient grounds in the search for Grael.

Way back in AC2's backstory, BZ returns after a great battle by emerging from the Inner Sea, nuking Rez'arel and Tufa in the process. I think those forges are simply another way Aerbax is tapping into the Kemeroi or possibly BZ himself (which could mean that the one BZ defeats prior to his return is Aerbax). |
