I think its kind of silly that a server forum is actually hidden until you log in. Does Warcry simply not want people using this site any more? Pull the plug if so; this site is a mess. Usability is at an all time low.

Probably because the DT forum is 'lightly moderated', and if you're going to post foul language, they want to hold you accountable?

Let's see if I can pull out the way back machine and point on when and why we made the DT forum that way. Many of "you" and I do mean "you" when I say this, wanted the ability to gripe and yell each other without fear of the banhammer. You couldn't do it on the official forums, or IGNs, or on our other forums so we gave you the ability as we know that DT players like to whine.

Now to do this and without displaying your whining to those that come to our site and are under the age of 13 (part of the registration piece), we told you that you would have to be a registered user to view and post to the DT forum. Sort of like a members only forum. Pretty much a fair trade if you ask me.

As for our usability it is in no way in any shape at an all time low. Please verify your facts before posting a comment like this, or I guess you base subscriber numbers off MMOGCharts.com too don't you.

Wow Delmar, thank you for the professional response. As a former employee of this site, I'm glad to see things have moved in a positive direction. You are doing a bang up job of fostering a community around here.

Also, hey, I said "usability" not "user base". Perhaps *you* should check your facts, since you are apparently in some position of power -- buzzwords are something you might want to be acquainted with, no? But here, since you were such a polite lad before, I'll help you out -- "usability" pertains to the function of the website, its design, and how easy it is to interact with. As these pages are now, they were SIGNIFICANTLY faster, much easier to navigate, simply more logical 2-3 years ago. Every percieved step forward has been a big ol' step backwards.

I dont know who you are, and I dont know what your attitude is all about, but you are a poor representative of this network as a whole. I know a number of the people who used to (or still do) make this site happen as I used to cover E3 for Warcry... you, however, I don't know, and I'm curious as to who you think you are that you can communicate with your users in such a manner.

Furthermore, have you seen the Darktide forum in the past... oh, I dont know, 5-6 years? There hasnt been a legitimate argument or flame in probably half a decade because none of us play this game any more, we're simply members of the same community and want to keep in touch. Everyone who would still come to this site over VN (which is a superior AC resource now, what with this horrible, horrible design) comes here because we're friends and want to maintain communication. When someone who hasnt been here in a while clicks "forums" and sees no forum when a forum does indeed exist, I think its pretty clear that your outdated impression of how we behave is unwarranted.

If you want moderation, I'm up for resuming the job. I did it years ago... you know, before everything went to hell around here. I'd be more than willing to keep things clean as long as the forum becomes public, so that we can maybe get some life back into the community. Feel free to respond like a normal human being if you like, or, you know, don't. Clearly professionalism isnt a concern.

Yeah this is a bit saddening to me. I looked for the Darktide Forum and I can't even find it now. I even just recieved my 100 posts without incurring moderator wrath msg and I am one of those fiesty Darktide members that you speak about. I've thought about starting up again, but I have no idea how to contact anybody and it makes me sad that we've probably lost many of our old friends who simply have lost the will to dig up the forum. All the old names I miss talking to and may never speak with again, but I guess that is the way of the internet when people decide to throw out the old and implement something new. Now my screen is filled with more images of other games than images of the actual game I wish to read about. If a Darktide board still exists, feel free to link me.
