Walkthrough
In the middle of an apple orchard on the road between Rithwic and Cragstone (13.6N, 50.7E) you will find the humble home of Ringoshu the Apple Seller. Ringoshu, a farmer, tends the orchards and sells Tart Apples (50 burden, restores 24 Stamina). In addition to these, he also sells the Trothyr's Rest Key (150 py, 3 uses) and the Trothyr's Rest Rumor.
Trothyr's Rest is just West of Rithwic (10.4N, 54.9E). No level restrictions. The entrance is free of creatures.For a nice Map, go here! 
The basic direction to go is "down". As you leave the entrance room via the east doors you come to a hole in the wall overlooking a large room with multiple levels of catwalks and half-open rooms. Your destination lies in this direction. You may jump down from here (suffering damage), skipping the following paragraph.
Chicken! Okay, continue past the Surface Portal and turn left (North) into a room. Dispatch the Azure Gromnie, and continue down the stairs. At the "T" intersection, turn left (South) and follow the catwalk. At this point it is probably safe to jump down; however, if you do not wish to risk it, keep following the catwalk and you will eventually come out into the large room.
From the large room go to the West side, enter the opening, and find the stairs leading down. You encounter a room with two doors. The eastern door is an immediate dead end with an undead waiting for you. The western door is locked! Trothyr's Key unlocks this door.
Follow the corridor West to a "Y" junction. Don't go to the Northwest -- this leads to a maze of corridors and Liches. Instead, bear left (Southwest). You will come to a room with four Liches and a Lich Lord. There are intersecting corridors to use as cover; be wary of their war magic! After dispatching the Liches, check the chest on the south side of the room for loot.
From the Chest Room go East on the catwalk. You will see an opening on the same level to the East, usually containing a Lich! [See pic at top of Quest writeup. - Ed.] Jump across. From this room turn to the Northeast and go down the ramp. At the bottom will be a short corridor that leads to a cross-shaped room with a large pit in the middle. The room contains several Liches; use the entry corridor as a shield, drawing the Liches to you one at a time.
Once you dispatch the Liches you will find Trothyr's Hammer and Trothyr's Shield on the west side.
At this point you may either Recall, or continue onward. Jump into the pit, enter the corridor to the East, and go through the doors. Here, in a small room, you find the Altar of Asheron. Click on it for an explaination of what it will do to PK-ers.
Exit the room to the South, climbing the stairs. You end up at a door that opens onto a pit. Jump down into the pit, and exit via the North door. This leads directly back to the Chest Room mentioned earlier. Be careful! By now the Liches and Lich Lord have re-spawned.
Exit this room by following the reverse path: Go North, turn right, and go upwards always keeping to the right. You should eventually return to the Surface Portal, which deposits you at (10.3N, 56.0E).
