Joval Soulblighter was on a dark road, leading straight to hell, he did not know of it at the time, but He was about to meet with a soul that would change his ways,
[p]The night the shadows attacked was not an easy one, the sky was calm but the wind whispered evil at every corner. That night Joval Soulblighter was involved in some evil of his own, after a stop in Hebian to, he decided to hit the pub and have some brew. Drinks were a dime a dozen on this night as he had just murdered a prominent adventurer and sold his goods.
[p]As Joval drank, his temper grew. He quickly picked a fight with Template, a new hero in Dereth, the Barkeep saw the impending rowdiness and kicked them both out, Joval was drunk as all hell but was still focused, he jumped template with such fury and template was unsure of what to do, Joval wielded his dagger and stabbed template with joy!! at that moment a few peacekeepers entered town and witnessed the melee, of those peacekeepers was Richard D'acura. Richard was well known as a destroyer of evil and as he noticed this he magically threw Joval away against the wall of the pub, Joval looked up for a second as his head fell down in a drunken sleep.
[p]As he awoke he noticed that he was tied up but able to walk. " hell of a night " a voice spoke with almost deafening results. " quiet!!, you fool" Joval commanded " I have a hangover, be gentle". As he opened his eyes with much trouble he saw 2 men above him " I am Richard D'acura and this Is John Unitus". Joval remembered D'acura from the night before and he was outraged that he could not hit him or at least kill him.
[p]"Template is Dead, and for that you must be taught the errors of your ways" Unitus spoke. " Really hmmm untie me and lets settle this man to man" Joval barked in a attempt to gain a hold on the situation " Unitus will take you and show you that Evil has no hold on Dereth and will soon be extinguished!" D'acura explained " we sense that evil is just a show with you, you rape, pillage and murder, so you can try to bury your past of a good life, until your father was brutally murdered by the Lochs". " How do you know who I am, or My father, Answer me Dammit or so help me the last thing you will see will be the fly buzzing over your rotting corpse!!!" Joval was furious.
[p]"Anvil Scudds was your father, and when he was killed 6 years ago you were outraged, You Believed being good was what caused his death and you changed your ways to stay alive. You became everything your father did not want for you, you defeated his teachings. But you have been brought up in the ways of good, and you know that deep down that Joval still exists and we are here to help you find him." Unitus ended his speech and fed a Huddled over Joval. D'acura explained " your father was a friend of mine, and I though of you dead as well until a colleague of mine told me otherwise, I have sought you out to help you, Your father would have wanted this".
[p]It has been two long weeks of Redemption for Joval Soulblighter, He has quickly become friends with John Unitus. The two adventurers walk into the town of Shoushi and notice the aftermath of a deadly raid. Many were dead and the shops and their keepers were robbed and violated. At this moment Joval remembered something his father told him, Evil has no motive, guilt or Remorse, it simply brings death until the world, It will do so until someone challenges it. "Joval look out, they have returned!!" Unitus yelled as he wielded his bow, but Joval turned too late as a arrow caught Unitus in the back,
[p]Joval Wielded his bow and took out one of the snipers at the fountain, then he ran and jumped the last of the two,it was his old friend Talon Fire, "Joval, my friend what are you doing" ........ as Jovals knife makes an entry into Talon, Joval whispers in Talons ear " I am doing what I should have years ago,"
[p]As soon as Talon Life vanished Joval rushed to his fallen friend. " Unitus, you will be ok, I will find help " Unitus very weakly says " Joval you are now at a crossroads, you must choose which path you will take, don't let your choice be in vain..........good bye my friend."
[p]It is quiet in the heart of Shoushi, "DAMMIT, FATHER WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY, ALL EVIL DOERS BEWARE, YOUR OLD FRIEND JOVAL IS COMING AND BEWARE OF HIM" Joval screams while holding his now departed friend.
