After the defeat of the shadows, Anadil returned to the desert in southwest Dereth where he remained until summoned to lead the Dericost armies again. Lady Aerfalle sent Garaena as an emissary to him for this purpose.
During the Second Shadow War he supervised the Dericost Armies, eventually leading them to the Vesayen Isles where they defended the last Soul Crystal. His body was born away to his crypt in Southwest Dereth. It is guarded by Nomad Mu-Miyah's and is the location of his Staff of the Nomads (87.7S 65.6W)
Anadil was a man who believed in honorable battle. He was a member of the Latzimestal (Lords of the World) faction of the Dericost. He disliked the skulking, hiding, and use of assassinations that the Filinuvekta (Winds from Darkness) were fond of. Though he had some respect for Lady Aerfalle he loathed and was loathed by Ellenia of Berchest.
