Lady Aerfalle is the acting leader of the Filinuvekta (Winds from Darkness) faction of the Dericost in the absense of His Eternal Splendor (who's whereabouts are unknown). She is a primogenitor undead, becoming undead shortly after His Eternal Splendor himself, who can regenerate herself from near complete physical destruction.
When Gelid fell to the Yalaini and Haebrous, Aerfalle fled to a small island north of Dereth that would later be named Aerlinthe. She delved deep into the island and created a keep.
Years later she whispered into the dreams of Lord Loritaine of the Yalaini, inspiring him to establish a forge on the island. Meanwhile, her love Rytheran whispered into his dreams giving him the name for the island: Aerlinthe after Lady Aerfalle herself.
Later as the Yalaini presence on Aerlinthe grew stronger, Lady Aerfalle bribed Aralea, the master smith and governer of the island, and through him was able to directly influence the throne of the Yalaini.
When Bael'zharon first appeared, ravaging the empire of the Yalaini, Lady Aerfalle sent emissaries to His Eternal Splendor and the Steward at Chalicmere urging them to join together to fight the shadow menace. Her influence led the Dericost to fight at the battle of Ayn Tayan (42.5S 52.4E) where they bought the Yalaini Council of Five enough time to construct Bael'zharon's prison.
Years later, in the latter part of the Third Age of Lore, the Yalaini settlement on Aerlinthe was destroyed when its volcano, Tenkarrdun, erupted. Lady Aerfalle reanimated the dead for her servants. Being reanimiated they were not particularly smart but the petrification by the volcane made them stronger than normal.
Since the arrival of Isparans on Dereth, Lady Aerfalle has continued to manipulate from the darkness. She even whispered to Isparan mages, revealing some of the simpler magic spells in order to strengthen them against the resurgence of the shadow menace.
During the Second Shaodw War she was again instrumental in uniting the Dericost by sending emissaries to the Steward at Chalicmere and to the Anadil leader of the Sand Kings.
After the first six soul crystals were destroyed, Lady Aerfalle recovered the key to the Ithaenic Catacombs where the last crystal was held. She broke it into three pieces and keeping one, gave the other two to the army commanders. She was later defeated by Isparans and her piece recovered.
Once Bael'zharon was released, Lady Aerfalle attended the meeting between the Virindi, the Dericost, Isin Dule, and Asheron. She revealed the Skull of Avorean Palacost a critical element of the Dark Crucible that weakened Bael'zharon.
Since the fall of Bael'zharon, the Lady Aerfalle has again withdrawn to the shadows of her keep on Aerlinthe Island.
