One day in Wintersebb of Portal Year 12, the Virindi staged a raid on the Direland town of Ayan Baqur. All but two of the citizens were taken prisoner and replaced with rebel Virindi. The Virindi called Adirred commanded the Panopticon Complex, where those prisoners were held, where they were being readied for experimentation.

Following leads from escaped prisoners, a band of adventurers stormed the complex, found the prisoners, and killed Adirred. It would be three months, however, before the human prisoners were finally released.
