Aun Tanua led the party of Aun warriors who defeated the first Olthoi Queen of Marae Lassel. Years later, he left Timaru to do battle with Hea Arantah in Ahurenga, but when the Hea couldn't defeat him, they summoned their Virindi allies. The Virindi captured Tanua and imprisoned him within a fortress in portalspace.
