The Fourth Sending of Darkness What began with a lost expedition ended up with Dereth changed forever. Foiling an undead cult's attempt to drain the warmth from the world
unleashed a terrible danger upon the land. Soon, adventurers found themselves racing against time and their fellow Isparians in order to prevent an ancient evil
from being released. And in the darkest of hours, only the alliance of a legendary sorcerer and three of humanity's greatest enemies could offer the hope of
defeating the dreaded Hopeslayer, Bael'Zharon.
The Rise of New Singularity Theirs was a world of order, a place blessed with harmony and cursed with solitude. But one band of rogue Virindi sought to cast off the shackles of
conformity and attain the power, freedome, and individuality that they believed was their due. When their rebellion crossed over into the realm of the material,
Dereth was quickly caught in the middle. Adventurers were forced to contend not only with loyalist Virindi, but with rebels whose 'perfect' new world threatened to destroy theirs.
Elements of Revenge Candeth Martine was torn asunder emotionally by a strange portal that carried him away from the wife and daughter he loved and physically by the Virindi looking to create a living weapon.
Freed from their control, only his hatred of Asheron, the one who created the portals in the first place, gave him purpose. With the very power of portalspace at his command, Martine attempted to take
his revenge on the man and the world that had cost him everything. However, he and his fellow Isparians soon found themselves at the mercy of a man whose hatred for Asheron eclipsed even Martine's--a man
whose wrath would drive the very forces of nature into chaos.
A Time of Chaos Thousands of years ago, one man's mistake and one empire's hubris unleashed a nearly unending horde upon the world, driving the children of the Light
into slumber. When the leader of that horde arrives on Dereth, its new inhabitants had to face recent memories of slavery as well as a legion that
toppled the Seaborne Empire. Even Asheron himself seemed unable to stem the dark tide. And where did the mages Nuhmudira fit into the
struggle? Was she there to help those most capable of defeating the Olthoi--or to hinder them?
The Shattered Coil Even the smallest mistakes can have the direst of consequences, as Rage Lao discovered. His tampering with an ancient Falatacot device exposed Dereth
to a new enemy: The Burun, a race of magic-wielding amphibians who stormed across the world between worlds in order to battle the hated Falatacot and
found us instead. With the Burun slowly making their way across the island, bringing war and corruption in their wake, we were once again faced
with destruction and turned to the unlikeliest of sources for salvation.
The War of Blood and Shadow For years, we believed that we were alone on Dereth, that only those of Aluvian, Sho, or Gharu'ndim descent had made the journey from Ispar. We
were wrong. With Asheron nowhere to be found, an army from the nation of Viamont, led by a bloodthirsty king and supported by one of our former
allies, attacked the lands of us "bloodless". As the war quickly escalated, towns were taken, a hero was lost, and a terrible truth was made
evident: The Viamontians may not have been our greatest threat, and all of us--Viamontian and bloodless alike--would soon be up against a dark force
even older and more vengeful than Bael'Zharon himself.
