Quests and the Alchemist

If there is one trade skill that is heavily interlaced in quests, it is Alchemy. Alchemy is also unique in that individuals of vastly varying skill levels may be required for your task. Pyreal ingots can often be made successfully by a younger Apothecary; while bow strings are best left to a master Alchemist.

Alchemy really shines when you look at the Isparian weapons quest (introduced May, 2002). Creating the various components of the Isparian weapons requires an elder journeyman with alchemy skill in excess of 425.
